The Denim and Spring Chair selects and coordinates the event location, including cost, food and beverage, and set-up, and manages a committee with specific assignments for Co-Chairs. This role recruits volunteers for event set-up, running the event, and clean-up; manages event set-up, décor, and auction set-up; hires the auctioneer and deejay; and solicits community donations. The Chair works with the Room Parent Coordinator to solicit class and grade donations and coordinates the live and silent auctions, including baskets, experiences, staff-for-a-day opportunities, and art auctions. The role also updates and organizes the event file for future chairpersons, manages publicity through signage, email announcements, and on-campus excitement, and provides an event financial summary detailing ticket sales, income, and costs.
